Rewarding Ways to Give Back

Scully Learning Center relies on generous donors and volunteers to provide enrichment activities for developmentally disabled adults. Your involvement and support help members build confidence, social skills and lifelong friendships in an inclusive, welcoming environment.

From creating meaningful relationships with participants to sending a tax-deductible gift, passionate and dedicated community members fuel our mission.

Donate to Make a Difference

Donations play a direct role in enriching our members’ lives. Your contribution will support a wide variety of engaging activities that encourage personal growth.

We also seek funding for an expansion of our mission, Scully Residential Center — a one-of-a-kind group home where residents and their caregivers can be together while members adjust to their new routine. Scully Residential Center will bring peace of mind to people who support their loved one in living more independently, but also want to ensure they have the right level of supervision to thrive.

How Will My Donation Help?

  • Enrichment Activities: Donations help us teach our members socialization and life skills through music, yoga, hikes, holiday events, field trips and more.
  • Property Enhancements: Our on-site farm, garden and art studio are a hub for learning and fun. Help us keep the property in tip-top shape to give participants a comfortable place to gather.
  • Scully Residential Center: Your gift will help turn our dream of creating an accommodating residence for members and their families into reality.

Volunteer Your Time or Talents

Few things are more rewarding than knowing you made a positive impact on someone’s life. Volunteering with Scully Learning Center gives you a unique opportunity to spend quality time with developmentally disabled adults who are eager to learn and explore.

Whether you host an event or accompany participants on a field trip, you brighten lives and foster friendships. Our volunteers make a wide variety of enrichment activities possible.

How Can I Volunteer?

  • Escort an Event: Safety and comfort are our No. 1 priority, so we maintain a 2:1 ratio of members to escorts at every event. Not only does this provide reassurance to participants and their families, but it also gives volunteers a chance to form close relationships with members.
  • Direct an Event: Have a special talent you’d like to share? Direct a class to teach our members a new skill or provide some entertainment. We’re always searching for community experts who are passionate about using their gifts for the greater good.
